Čadrg is a small village in the Triglav national park. It is situated in the midst of the Tolmin hills, 700 meters above sea level. We, the villagers of Čadrg, keep the tradition of cultivating this piece of earth just as our ancestors did – with a lot of love and devotion.
Village Čadrg is also home of our family – the Bončina family. Our main agriculture is organic livestock production. Most of the forage is produced on twenty-nine hectars of meadows and pastures. We breed dairy cows, goats, pigs, ducks and chickens. But there are also other animals on the farm that bring us and our guest a lot of fun and pleasure – our cats and our faithful dog Aika.
We started with ecological farming in 1999. After obligatory two years transitional period, our farm obtained certificate “ecological farm”. All our goods are marketed under the national brand for ecological food “BIODAR”.
Visitors of our farm are offered not only cheese Tolminc, but also fine home made pear brandy, seasonal vegetables and nuts.
We also offer the possibility of staying for longer period of time on our fam – for interesting holidays or only for the relaxing end of busy week. We recently opened two apartments and obtained registration for additional activity on the farm – tourism. As a tourist farm, we offer meals that are traditional for our region. Our capacity is 60 covers during the spring and summer time and 25 covers during the colder months.
